Early in her professional journey, Bébhínn demonstrated her entrepreneurial and innovative spirit by winning Accenture’s Leaders of Tomorrow Start-up Accelerator and completingEnterprise Ireland’s New Frontiers Programme. She then moved into the field of experience research with Workday, where she developed expertise in understanding user needs and translating insights into meaningful solutions.
Today, Bébhínn is a Lead UX Researcher at IBM, where she has contributed to award-winning innovation across IBM’s Sustainability Software portfolio. Through customer-led research and human-centred design, she helps develop solutions that enable large organisations to measure, manage, and reduce their environmental impact as they work towards Net Zero goals.
Alongside her industry career, Bébhínn has continued to deepen her commitment to sustainability and climate action. Drawing on her background in behavioural science and systems thinking, she has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Entrepreneurship at Trinity College Dublin as well as the Climate Leadership Programme with the Mary Robinson Centre.
Reflecting on her work, Bébhínn says:
"I bring experience applying behavioural science and systems thinking to sustainability challenges, contributing to research, advisory and committee-based work focused on enabling equitable and effective climate action. Across both domains, I specialise in translating complex insights into clear, actionable interventions with real-world impact."
At the heart of Bébhínn’s career is a passion for tackling complex real-world challenges through research, empathy, and evidence-based decision-making. Her journey demonstrates the versatility of a psychology degree and the growing role behavioural science can play in shaping a more sustainable future.
In November 2026, Bébhínn will return to IADT as a guest lecturer for The Psychology of Sustainability, sharing her expertise with students on the new BA in Environmental and Social Psychology.
