IADT proudly congratulates National Film School alumni Andrew Freedman (Antidote Films), Marah Curran and Eamonn O’Neill, whose work on Retirement Plan, supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, has earned a nomination for Best Animated Short Film at the 98th Academy Awards, taking place on 15 March 2026.
The film is recognised for its distinctive visual style, balancing serene, meditative sequences with dynamic bursts of action. Alumni Eamonn O’Neill and animator Marah Curran realise this vision through a thoughtful combination of traditional hand‑drawn techniques and contemporary digital animation, resulting in a vibrant and emotionally resonant world.
IADT extends warm congratulations to all nominees and celebrates the continued achievements of our graduates.
