The event brought together graduates from across Creative Futures Academy's partner institutions, NCAD, IADT and UCD, creating an opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, share achievements, and discover what lies ahead for Ireland's growing creative community.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was warm and celebratory. Over drinks and canapés, alumni renewed old friendships and forged new professional connections, reflecting the collaborative spirit that sits at the heart of Creative Futures Academy. Throughout the evening, visitors explored a character bust sculpting exhibition in MoLI's Riverrun space, showcasing the remarkable work of IADT lecturer Paul McDonnell alongside graduate Gemma Byrne, whose creative journey began with the Certificate in Character Bust Sculpting programme.

As the audience gathered in the Aula, CFA Director Louise Allen welcomed attendees with a reflection on "five years in the making", charting the Academy's evolution into a pioneering partnership between NCAD, UCD and IADT. Her address celebrated the achievements of learners who have embraced CFA's flexible and innovative approach to creative education while highlighting the Academy's commitment to identifying and developing the skills needed for the future creative industries.

The evening's programme beautifully demonstrated the breadth of talent nurtured across the CFA network. A captivating performance from the Seven Springs ensemble showcased the rich musical traditions explored through UCD's Traditional Music Practices module. Musicians Lucien Buhr, Méin Nic Craith, Sorcha Stockman and Dáire Ó Maoildeirg filled the historic venue with the sounds of banjo, bouzouki, concertina, fiddle and uilleann pipes, performing a selection of traditional and contemporary pieces that delighted the audience.

Creativity took a different form when artist, poet and NCAD Diploma in Art and Ecology graduate Derval Tubridy presented excerpts from her visual and literary work. Guests watched screenings of her pieces Cutback and Crow before enjoying a live poetry reading from her collection Anchoring Until. Her contribution offered a thoughtful exploration of art, language and the environment, reflecting the interdisciplinary learning experiences that CFA encourages.

The evening was more than a celebration of past achievements. It was a reminder of the vibrant community that continues to grow through Creative Futures Academy. Graduates from diverse disciplines came together to share experiences, celebrate success and engage with fellow creatives who are shaping Ireland's cultural and creative future.

The reunion highlighted not only the achievements of CFA graduates, but also the power of lifelong learning, collaboration and creativity. It was a fitting celebration of a community that continues to inspire, innovate and shape the future of the creative sector.
