Curated by Sinéad Ní Mhaonaigh PRHA, Cnuasach, brings together twenty-one artists in a dynamic dialougue between established and emerging practitioners. The exhibition features eleven members of the Royal Hibernian Academy alongside ten invited artists, creating opportunities for exchange, discovery and artistic conversation across generations, disciplines and perspectives.
Joanne's work is included in what she describes as an "amazing line-up of artists", and she is honoured to exhibit alongside some of Ireland's most respected contemporary artists, including Amanda Coogan, Dorothy Cross RHA, Martin Gale RHA, Eithne Jordan RHA, Alice Maher RHA, Mick O'Dea PPRHA and Charles Tyrell RHA, among others.
The exhibition explores four recurring themes:
Through these themes, artists examine questions of perception, structure, space, memory and image-making, highlighting the diversity of approaches within contemporary Irish art practice.
Cnuasach opens at the Dr Tony Ryan Gallery on the 10th September and runs until the 25th October. The exhibition offers visitors a unique to experience the work of both emerging and established artists presented within a shared curatorial framework.
