The podcast celebrates Irish Traveller women, exploring the relationship and the potential of storytelling, culture and creativity.
Taking storytelling as a starting point, the conversations will focus on the arts and on the importance of supporting and making visible the creative talents of the Traveller community. The first in the series is a conversation between Traveller woman, Nan O’Brien and IADT graduate and Filmmaker, Daragh O’Shea. Nan and Daragh have worked together many times, most recently, on the creation of The OId Way, a short film about Traveller traditions and life over time. You can watch The Old Way here.
During the podcast, the pair expand on their ongoing conversation into preserving and protecting Traveller Culture through the medium of film, and through storytelling.

The second podcast in the series will air in the coming weeks, with Producer and Filmmaker, Mary McDonagh (Mary Mc Productions) and Vanessa Gildea (IADT). Their discussion will focus on creating opportunities for Travellers in the creative arts. Watch this space!
