The Institute of Art, Design + Technology is pleased to announce the launch of the IADT Journal of Research + Creativity (IJRC), a biannual, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to showcasing scholarly and creative work from across the IADT community and beyond.

The IJRC publishes academic articles, literature reviews, creative works, opinion pieces, reviews, and interviews, spanning IADT’s full disciplinary range – from Art, Design, Film, and Technology to Applied Psychology, the Humanities, and EDI. A distinctive feature of the journal is its openness to contributors at all levels: undergraduate students, postgraduate students, academics, and practitioners all publish side by side, with peer review calibrated to the appropriate standard for each.

The IJRC is also open to external submissions from researchers, practitioners, and students at other higher education institutions. Operating under a Diamond Open Access model, it is entirely free to publish and free to read — with no article processing charges and no paywalls. The journal is published on Diamond Ireland Press, the new national Diamond Open Access platform for Irish journals and monographs, funded by the National Open Research Forum (NORF).

Submissions are open on a rolling basis. To submit or find out more, visit IADT Journal of Research + Creativity or contact: journal@iadt.ie.
