dlr Arts Office are inviting proposals from artists to spend a 12-month period engaging with the library, its users and the wider community to explore the creative potential of digital technologies. The budget for the commission is €40,000.
Digital technology has transformed how we communicate, learn, work, connect and create. Today, our libraries offer a range of digital tools and resources that support learning and creativity. Through this commission, the artist will strengthen the library’s role as a cultural and creative hub for the neighbourhood.
The commission is part of dlr’s Public Arts Programme, The Story We Tell tomorrow, funded through the Per Cent for Art Scheme.
