With the ongoing housing crisis and limited budgets, finding local accommodation remains a significant challenge for students and can add considerable stress to their college experience.
IADT is reaching out to our Alumni Community to help make a difference by opening your doors to students in need of accommodation.
By offering local, affordable accommodation to IADT students, you can make a meaningful contribution to the student experience—while also supporting your own financial well-being, with a tax-free income via the Rent-A-Room scheme.
Whether it’s a spare bedroom, a granny flat, or an entire property, hosting a student is an opportunity that can be both financially beneficial and personally rewarding.
We started using Studentpad from IADT to let out one of the rooms in our house last year and found the staff really helpful.
We quickly had someone lovely to rent the room who is still with us and we are delighted.

Studentpad is IADT’s supported accommodation platform. Local homeowners/landlords can list rooms exclusively to IADT students - quickly, easily, and completely free of charge.
If you have a spare room in a house, apartment, or self-contained unit within commuting distance of the IADT campus, you can register as a host and advertise your space on Studentpad.
No prior experience is necessary, and full support is available from Student Accommodation throughout the process.
You can find information on using Studentpad, our current rental caps and the Rent-A-Room scheme:
