We would love to formally invite you to our 3rd Year BA (Hons) Photography & Visual Media exhibition: bite the hand.

We are told “don’t bite the hand that feeds you”, but in this exhibition our work challenges this narrative. To bite the hand is to disrupt. Visual art is a means to capture, to disrupt. In this show we have created pieces exploring human experience to show viewers what we see and what we feel as we see it. We are taking something and making it our own through our individual experiences and practices, in turn, biting the hand.

This exhibition is in response to the Dr David Kronn Photography Collection held at IMMA, with each student working collaboratively as artist and curator, taking inspiration from 1-2 images from the collection to produce the projects presented, which reflect a spectrum of contemporary practice and subject matter, representing our wide variety of artists.

Opening Night: Wednesday, April 15th from 6pm – 8pm.

Exhibition will be opened by Nuria Carballeira, Curator, Collections IMMA
